1. Disaster Relief Supplies..............................................$25,000

Help fund purchase of cleaning supplies and personal care items. These items are made available to individuals whose homes have been affected by a disaster, such as a hurricane, tornado, flooding, etc., and have been displaced from their homes. Upon returning to their homes cleaning supplies will be needed for the cleanup of debris. Personal care items are also available to individuals who left their homes without any kind of personal care items and who are sheltered in facilities for an extended amount of time.

2. Forklift..........................................................................$35,000

Adventist Community Services was blessed with a donation of 2 used forklifts after Katrina, 2005. A tremendous amount of service has been gleaned out of these forklifts. This equipment is essential for our day-to-day operations.

3. Homeless Ministry.......................................................$77,625

We see that primary causes of homelessness are unaffordable housing, joblessness, low income, family/domestic challenges, divorce, eviction, and sometimes mental illness. The street-homeless population around the state of Texas has seen a major increase within the last few years. Our homeless population does not have the luxury of everyday items such as a clean blanket, or personal care item.
These funds will help us provide homeless individuals with packets that include, a blanket, a hat, gloves, and personal care items.

4. Mobile Shower Unit...................................................$125,000

Working in partnership with the local churches this outreach project is intended to engage our church members in providing services to the homeless on the streets of Texas. In addition to providing services to the homeless, this mobile unit will also be available for use to communities with individuals affected by a natural disaster who don’t have access to their homes.
We will begin this ministry by having church members, and other volunteers engaged on 4 days out of the month. The plan would be to grow the program to the extent where the van is out on the road at least two to three times a week. A driver would be trained to operate the vehicle, and they would get paid daily.

5. Laundry Unit..............................................................$125,000

Working in partnership with the local churches this outreach project is intended to engage our church members in providing services to individuals affected by a disaster and who have been displaced from their homes. In addition to providing services to survivors from a natural disaster, this mobile unit will also be available for use to churches with a ministry in the community to the homeless population. We will begin this ministry by having church members, and other volunteers engaged on 4 days out of the month.
